Ashlea Kiiing of Kiiing Creations
Ashlea explores different art media and creating unique artworks that possess naturalistic qualities. Her work is meant to empower, inspire and uplift while celebrating Black beauty.
From Ashlea:
The depiction of the African American community often presents Black people in a negative light. This affects how society perceives us and in return inaccurate assumptions are made about our community. I truly believe that strong and positive representation can help break down stereotypes that are detrimental to African Americans. Creating art that provides positive depictions of Black culture is important and necessary to help remove negative perceptions within our society and provide a visual representation of the beauty and excellence within the African American community.
BODY CARE + CANDLES
Marcia Allen - Hiruna Soaps
HiRuna Designs crafts cruelty free, vegan friendly, handcrafted products made lovingly with the utmost care for your skin—and your senses. The soaps, body butters and sugar scrubs prepared in small batches speak to our Marcia’s childhood and native home, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, an island nation in the Caribbean. They bring with them the intoxicating scents and vibrant colors of a place like no other. In her home of Saint Vincent so much is made by hand using available materials, and even food is more often plucked from the ocean or a tree, than the supermarket.
You share with your family or buy from your neighbor, with personal craftsmanship appreciated for its character and imperfections. The custom products we make are an extension of that culture.
Leah Phillips Natale - Henry’s Daughter Decor
Named after her mother (Ms. Henry) Leah and her husband Francisco make candles that create an environment for you. To take you back to happy memories or to give you a reason to create a moment of peace and relaxation. Smell is one of The Five Senses, and burning a candle with a scent that makes you feel something is a luxury that everyone should experience.
Their candles are handmade from recycled and upcycled bottles that they collect from local DFW restaurants. Every bottle is cut and sanded so the edges are smooth, making the container completely reusable as a drinking glass, flower vase, decoration.
We love creating and working with our hands, and it was important to us to make a product that keeps the environment in mind.

She makes jewelry and Kelvin the homewares from and with the concrete material.
When I started, I never had any idea it would become a store, this was just supposed to be able to supplement my income so I could stay home with my kids, I am so proud of how far my little business has come and the fans and supporters I have picked up along the way.
LEATHER GOODS AND ACCESSORIES
Tony Daniel - BYNDR LEATHER GOODS
Tony is self taught and sole-creator of all his leather goods. He carefully makes each handmade item—from every cut to every stitch. As the son of a carpenter, Tony found an early interest in design and craftsmanship that led him to become an artisan. He started BYNDR LEATHER GOODS, out of necessity. Like his father, when he needed something fixed, he’d fix it himself. So when he found himself needing a wallet, instead of the office binder clip that he used to hold his credit cards and cash, he decided to make a wallet.
Little did I know I wouldn’t stop at just a wallet. Within a few years my side hustle and creative outlet turned into a thriving passion. I now have an inventory of unique handmade leather goods—from keychains and wallets, to duffles and tote bags.
Odin Clack - Odin Leather Goods
Odin Leather Goods started off in 2012 on the corner of his dining room table. Back then it was just an experiment to see if Odin could make a simple laptop sleeve. Instead of making just one, he made six or seven - each iteration got better and better. Soon others were asking Odin for other items - custom wallets, belts, and more. Odin’s designs allude to a classic American style and focus on functionality. In March of 2020 he opened his first retail store and has plans on a 2nd location in the future.
