Scenes from the Klyde Warren Park with the Dallas Yarn Bombers

Kelly from Local Honey had a chance to hang out with possibly the most crafty, colorful, creative bunch in Dallas, and being the amazing photographer that she is, she caught it all on film to share with us. 

The Dallas Yarn Bombers were busy yarn-bombing the heck out of the brand new Klyde Warren Park's Reading Room area in preparation for it's grand opening last Saturday. I couldn't get enough shots of their adorable garden-themed creation as well as their precious knitted critters and colorful knitting supplies.

They really did an amazing job. Make sure you stop by and see it in person! It'll be up through November. If you're interested in participating in their next installation, they're always needing more crafty yarn-loving volunteers. A Look Back at the 4th Annual Etsy Dallas Spring Bash

This year the Etsy Dallas Spring Bash took place on Cinco de Mayo. 

Etsy Dallas and friends celebrated with a Shop + Party + Art + Craft! 

DJ JuanSolo got the party started with his hip tunes.

These happy campers were the first in line for the coveted Bash Bags filled with handmade goodies. 

All that waiting in line really did pay off for truly devoted Etsy Dallas fans!

And then, there was the shopping...

Shoppers took in the best handmade shopping experience with top artists and designers from the local and national handmade scene.

Guests had a chance to craft it up with the Dallas Yarn Bombers and the Friends of the Dallas Public Library at the two Make and Take tables. Yes, two DIY craft tables!

This year's photo booth was extraordinary and totally unforgettable thanks to K. Witta, the Dallas Yarn Bombers, and Helmut Walker Photography.  

What better way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo than with a few knitted tacos and nachos? Si, por favor.

And how about a spin on the fabulous yarn-bombed bicycle?

Sponsor spotlight: Dallas Yarn Bombers

You may have noticed Dallas has been a bit cozier lately... since 2010 the Dallas Yarn Bombers have been injecting warm fuzzies and feel-good color across the city via yarn!  They are promoting yarn bombing as a new, fun art form that is truly by and for the community.  They raise funds for several charities through raffles, as well as yarn-related charity efforts such as baby hats and blankets for the Parkland Hospital and baby booties for the Gendercide Awareness Project.
